Stop Waiting for January 1st!
Why I Don’t Believe in New Year’s Resolutions
Every year, as the clock strikes midnight on January 1st, millions of people make promises to themselves—"This is the year I'll get fit." "This is the year I'll save more," "This is the year I'll finally get it together."
But how many of those promises actually stick? Research shows that by February, most resolutions are forgotten, abandoned in the chaos of daily life. And that’s exactly why I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions.
Why wait for a specific day to change your life? Why put so much pressure on one day to spark transformation when every day is an opportunity to improve? Here’s the thing: change doesn’t have to come with fireworks and a new calendar. It starts with small, intentional steps—today. Yes, today.
In my latest podcast episode, I explore why New Year’s resolutions often fail and how you can approach self-improvement in a way that actually lasts. The secret? Start now. Start small. By the time the new year rolls around, you won’t need a resolution—you’ll already be living the life you want.
So if you’ve got big plans or habits you want to form, don’t wait. Take the first step now. Your future self will thank you. Listen to the full episode here and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
